At Norfolk Physical Therapy, we have certainly seen a wide range of injuries from the typical to the bizarre!
Mr. E is a bus mechanic who was working under a bus when it, somehow, went into gear and started to move. Mr. E was understandably alarmed and tried to roll out from under it, with the bus thankfully missing his head and torso but, unfortunately, not his left arm and leg.
He was not a happy man when he arrived at NPTC but after the pool, gym, taping, skilled manual therapy, and work conditioning he is now good, able and happy to be back at work full duty as a mechanic.
But don’t take our word for it; click here for his success story!
Now imagine what we can do for your severe injuries or even just sprains and strains! No matter how seemingly simple or complex the injury we are dedicated to providing highly skilled and highly personalized treatment.
I am constantly amazed at what some people end up deciding to “just live with.” Pain while sitting, standing, moving and pain which effects so much of what they do that often, when I ask them what they really want to get out of therapy they say, “I want my life back!!” That is why we decided on our “Banish back pain in 2014” campaign; don’t settle. The truth is that even with some of the patients we have seen who have been in pain for years, a few treatments and the proper exercise and education can make a phenomenal difference. If you are having trouble with back pain I encourage you to visit our patient resources section where free videos are available on “sleeping with back pain” and “sitting with back pain” as well as other topics. If you need more, additional skilled help is available in our clinic which includes a special warm therapy pool. Please feel free to contact us to get “the help you need for the results you want.”
Thanks for visiting our page. This site was designed to be an educational and interactive resource for our current patients, prospective patients, and anyone interested in how physical therapy can benefit their lives. We hope you explore and enjoy our education center, video multimedia, and web tutorials.
The aim of our blog is to provide and open discussion platform between patient and practitioner. Feel free to post questions, comments, or concerns here. I'll be checking back periodically through the week to answer any and all posts as best I can. Thanks again for supporting NPTC! -- Steve
