ACCEPTED INSURANCES Referrals to NPTC can be made by physicians, chiropractors, podiatrists, dentists and osteopaths. Employers, insurance companies and case managers can recommend therapy, with a treating practitioner's authorization. Please call the clinic if you need additional information or help with a referral.
Other insurance policies may be accepted, please call if your insurance carrier is not listed, or if you have any questions. It is also important to note that all patients are responsible for any copays, coinsurance, or deductibles on the day of service. We make every effort to get accurate information from the insurance company but in the event that a service is not covered the patient will be responsible for any and all costs and will be billed promptly. |
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSHow do I know if therapy will help me?
We see a wide variety of conditions including neck, back, shoulder, and various extremity related problems and have an excellent track record of success. That’s why we offer, “the help you need for the results you want.” You never know unless you try. I tried therapy before and it didn’t help a lot so there is no point in me coming to see you… right? WRONG! Many of our patients have improved dramatically after failing to get relief either at other therapy locations or with medications and injections. If you are continuing to have problems, give us a call and be sure to check out our success stories, some of which include patients who were unsuccessful elsewhere. What is different about therapy at NPTC? We have included everything you might need at one location, (including an indoor heated pool!) and can offer you a full spectrum of modalities. In addition to our well-equipped gym, skilled manual therapy (including myofascial, structural bodywork, and joint related techniques) is available to address all aspects of your condition. With over 50 years of experience in the field, we have all the tools you need get back to living a pain free lifestyle. How long will I have to be in therapy to know if it is going to help? In most cases, you and the therapist will both know within about a week if we are going to be able to help you or not. Of course, all injuries vary in complexity, and in some cases it may take a little longer if we have to gather any MRI or diagnostic reports to integrate with our examination findings to get the full picture. Will it hurt? In most cases, NO. Certain conditions, like a stiff Total Knee or Adhesive Capsulitis, may require more forceful stretching; however, you are always in control and even these extreme cases involve less pain than you may think. (After all, whatever problem you may have, we have likely seen it at least dozens if not hundreds of times.) I can’t swim and I’m nervous about the pool! Do I have to get in? No – No one is forced to get in the pool. BUT, there is a stair step entry with railings as well as a mechanical lift to help you enter/exit the pool if you have mobility problems. Fixed at a relaxing 97°, the pool has a very shallow end with a whirlpool and extends 30 feet in length to a 7 foot deep well for floating traction. Treatment is one-on-one with a skilled therapist and many people who are initially worried find it WONDERFUL. One of our own patients refers to it as the “healing waters.” Of course men’s and women’s private locker rooms and changing areas are provided. When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive a few minutes early to give yourself time to finalize any paperwork check in with front desk staff as you’re checking in. After your first appointment, please arrive at your scheduled time. Our physical therapists are scheduled to ensure that each patient gets the one on one attention they need. What if I need to cancel or change my physical therapy appointment?
Typically, we require a 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment; however, work, kids and other life commitments can make for unforeseen challenges in keeping your regular physical therapy appointments. We certainly understand that and want to make sure you rehabilitate properly so you can get back to fully living and active life. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact our front office during business hours and we'd be happy to accommodate and reschedule you. What should I wear to my physical therapy appointment?
Wear loose, comfortable clothes and athletic shoes to your physical therapy appointments. Physical therapy is all about physically getting you moving so you can return to an active life. |
